EVENT: 1st Annual Labor Day Rondy

Cook Inlet Mountaineers,Homer Alaska

SEPTEMBER 5 & 6, 2009
Join us for a weekend of pre-1840’s fun!

As our first event, things aren’t as “usual” as at your well established Rondy’s, but bear with us and it’ll only get better. Period dress and camps not required, but definitely desired. All shooting will be done with black powder (or modern equivalent), patched round ball and open iron sighted Muzzle Loading guns.

CAMPING:
This year we have walk-in primitive camping at the Range. This is really primitive and there is NO alcohol on the ground At All!

Camping is also at Christina Warren’s, a mile up the road across from Black Water Bend. Here you will need to bring your own drinking water, other is available. Please call 299-3481 for further information.

Also, there are many pull-off camp spots along the Anchor River. Local Camp Grounds fill up fast, but we will try to get lists up for you.

Saturday & Sunday Potluck Meal and Awards will be held at Christina’s place, with a bonfire, and we will provide hot dogs – at least.

Three years ago we launched a campaign to raise $10,000 to build
a Running Boar Range at Friendship (see the September 2009 issue of Muzzle Blasts).

SWEEPSTAKES WINNER WILL RECEIVE:
$3,000 in Cash PLUS
over $3,500 sponsored prizes for a 7 Day Alaska Adventure!

Tickets are $20 each -or- 6 for $100

To purchase tickets please contact:
Keith Bayha, NMLRA Field Rep for Alaska

The winning ticket will be drawn September 19th at the National Shoot, as we project that we will attain our goal of raising $10,000 by that time. To date, the Sweepstakes has raised $7,500 for the Running Boar Range Project. A year ago we arranged to sweeten our prize and increase interest through the generosity of Clint Hlebechuk donating a bear viewing experience for one person at Alaska’s Hallo Bay Bear Camp in Katmai National Park, Alaska. (additional persons double occupancy fares can be purchased at $2,850) And 20% of any additional booking for the winner’s party would go to the NMLRA Running Board Range Project. Due to these additional donations from Clint’s business partners (see below), we have an exceptional offering for our Sweepstakes. Get your tickets now!
